Annual Holiday Gala

The night of December 7 we hosted our annual holiday gala at the Hotel Bel-Air. We had a wonderful time celebrating another exciting year in LA Tech. We saw all of the most active investors, up and coming entrepreneurs and leading companies in LA – from Mucker Capital to STEEZY to Jukin Media to Winc to Atom Tickets, and many more.

We’re proud to report that we raised over $25,000 for Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica. BGCSM’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, responsible, productive citizens.

Decision Makers Dinner, Nobu Malibu, March 31

Nobu Malibu

On March 31, ThursdayNights hosted its most picturesque event to date. Seated on the private fireplace patio at Nobu Malibu nearly sixty of the top technology executives and investors convened for a beautiful night. Local VCs from Pritzker Capital, Anthos, Karlin, Crosscut joined a group that included the Honest Company, Bitium, Gem, GoGaurdian, and many more. The beneficiary of the evening, FirstStar, received nearly $4,000 in donations from our generous group.

We’re proud to report that we raised over $15,000 for First Star. First Star supports foster children through a critical time in their adolescence, and last year over 90% of the kids in their program were accepted to college – this is 9x better than the average for foster kids.

It costs $10,000 to sponsor a child for a single year, so as each of you looks at your corporate giving, if you’d like to sponsor a kid in the program in 2016 you can reach out to Robin on the First Star team.
